The Day I Realized Nobody Is Coming to Save Me

Waiting for the “perfect opportunity” almost cost me years of my life.

For the longest time, I used to wait.
Wait for a mentor.
Wait for an investor.
Wait for the “right idea.”

And in that waiting, I convinced myself that someone out there—more experienced, more powerful—would show up and guide me, fund me, or pull me out of my struggles.

But one afternoon, staring at an empty inbox after sending 50+ cold emails, it hit me: nobody is coming.

No investor, no mentor, no golden opportunity.
It’s just me. My laptop. My willpower.

That was both terrifying and freeing. Terrifying because the safety net was gone. Freeing because I realized I didn’t have to wait anymore. I could start messy. I could start small. I could start now.

And that shift changed everything.
I stopped waiting for permission and started building without it.

📌 Lesson? Life doesn’t reward waiting. It rewards doing.
